Today was a day just like most others. Being a Tuesday, I drive Rick into the hospital for his clinical. He needs to be there before 6am so my day starts a lot earlier than normal. For the most part, it was a normal Tuesday, the kids got up, had breakfast, then began their school work.
At 12 noon they have piano lessons, each for a half hour. By the time we got back home I was exhausted. I had to lay down for a bit and close my eyes or I would never make it to the end of the day. Apparently while I was napping on the couch and the kids were playing a bit of Pacman, Marybeth decided she was going to take my phone and call her dad. Needless to say, in the middle of his conference at the end of the day, his phone rings. He sees it is from me so he answers it. Marybeth automatically starts babbling Dada? dada? He laughs, calls her name and she gabs even louder. He said he could hear the kids in the background but figured they didn't realize she was really on the phone, that she was just pretending. The call lasted a few minutes when he hung up. As I picked him up, he tells me that Marybeth called him. I figured he was kidding until I heard the story. I guess it's a good thing that I talk to him enough that his number was the last one called. Can you imagine if she decided to call someone else? HAHA My sweet little baby! Gotta love her!
