This year Easter arrived and we had the best intentions of making it a wonderful day for all. We have so much to be thankful for this year; good health, a happy family, a way of making money plus much more.
With all the depressing things going on in this world and all the anger that seems to be cropping up all around us, I figured we all needed to retreat to the simple things of life and be grateful for what we have and for what Our Lord and Savior did for us. We began Holy Week by attending our church's Penance Service. It was a beautiful evening which ended with an opportunity for private Confession. It's been a long time since I have felt completely cleansed after Confession. An absolute rush of strength and graces flowed out onto me that evening! Holy Thursday Mass was the next wonderful event for our family. Ricky and Jyl were both altar servers for Mass and they did a great job! Michelle was supposed to but illness came upon her and she was unable. Mass again Good Friday, then the Stations of the Cross on Friday evening and finally the Easter Vigil Mass on Saturday. It was an unbelievable way to celebrate Our Lord's Passion, Death and Resurrection. I am so very grateful that His bat was strong enough to finally hit me hard enough so I could realize all He has to offer. I have always had everything from Him right in front of me, everything that I always took for granted, so much available to me that I don't understand how close friends and family can ignore it or walk willingly away from because they just don't get it. Thank you God for opening my eyes to the Truth of You, Your church, and all that stands in front of me. I pray that You will show me how to live my life according to Your plan so that others may see You through me.
Happy Easter to you all~
